On Friday, May 26, 2017, seniors will attend a Student Government sponsored breakfast. After this, seniors will visit their elementary and middle school for the senior walk-through (cap & gowns will be distributed). When students return, a senior picture will be taken in their cap and gowns. Yearbooks will be distributed and the senior slide show will be viewed. All seniors will be dismissed, following all activities, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Please note that students are responsible for their own transportation upon dismissal.
Awards recipients will receive an invitation to the Scholarship Ceremony by mail sometime over the next few weeks. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. All students are invited to attend; however, only those students receiving a formal letter will be receiving awards.
HPER ATHLETIC AWARDS
On Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. student athletes from all grade levels will be recognized for a variety of accomplishments. Those student athletes receiving awards will be notified by the HPER office.
The Senior Prom will be held at the Aqua Restaurant on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. A Guest Request form must be completed and approved, prior to the prom, before a student from another school will be allowed to attend. This form is available online. Tickets will cost $57.00 and will be on sale May31, June 1st and June 2nd.
The High School SADD is sponsoring an exciting Post Prom event to take place on June 20, 2017, from 11:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. at the High School following the Senior Prom. See the enclosed flyer for more details.
All graduates planning to participate in the Commencement Exercises are required to attend the rehearsal scheduled for Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. at the Events Center. Students will learn the order of the processional and their seating assignments. They will practice the processional and recessional, become familiar with the program and receive other pertinent information. With the full cooperation of our seniors, rehearsal should be completed by 9:30 a.m. Caps and gowns are not to be worn to rehearsal.
Commencement for the Class of 2017 will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at the Events Center on the Erie County Fair Grounds.
Admission is by ticket only.
Each senior will be allotted five (5) tickets which will be distributed at rehearsal. Additional tickets can be requested by calling either Mrs. Bomberski or Mrs. Scoma at 646-3310.
Graduates must arrive by 11:15 a.m.
A commencement ceremony is a formal celebration and should be treated with decorum. Please exhibit appropriate behavior and follow protocol for the benefit of all who attend. Together, we can make this a memorable experience for our graduating students.
