Charlotte Avenue Elementary School and the Hamburg Central PTSA have been recognized as a National PTA School of Excellence 2016-18 for their achievement in building effective family-school partnerships. They are one of 173 schools and PTAs from across the country, 15 in the state, 6 in WNY, to receive the designation.They also received it in 2014-16. The award acknowledges that Charlotte Avenue and its PTSA have partnered to support student success by creating a welcoming environment and putting strong practices into place that involve families in the life of the school. Under the leadership of Principal Danielle Lango and PTSA Vice President Candy Ditkowski (pictured), parents are encouraged to actively participate in their children’s education through open communication, volunteer opportunities and schoolwide events.
