            G.8      NOTICE OF APPEAL - SUPERINTENDENT HEARING

                       RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that the board of education hereby

                        determines that the Notice of Appeal filed by the parents of a student

                        regarding the Hearing Officer’s Findings of Fact and Recommendations

                        and the decision of the interim superintendent is hereby
                      
(granted/denied). 
 

G.9     SALARY SCHEDULES

                        RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that approval is given to salary schedules as

                       outlined in Enclosure G.9 for Non-Instructional Part Time employees (Clerk 
                       Typist PT, Account Clerk PT and School Monitor [Cafeteria] PT).”
 
            G.10   OUT OF DISTRICT TRANSFERS - BUFFALO CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
                       RECOMMENDED MOTION:  that approval be given by the District to enter 
                       into discussions with the Buffalo City School District regarding out of district 
                       transfers and that a draft of a memorandum of understanding would be provided 
                       to the Board of Education prior to any action being taken by the HCSD for such 
                       a consideration of accepting transfer students."

RECOMMENDED MOTION: “that the Board of Education hereby approves

                        of the revised contract between the district and legal counsel effective
                        November 13, 2013 through June 30, 2014.”

                        Officer [CIO]) - HAC      
                       
RECOMMENDED MOTION: “that the Board of Education of the Hamburg

                        Central School District approves the Memorandum of Agreement between

                        the district and Hamburg Administrative Council (HAC) effective 7/1/13 to

                        6/30/14.”

                        That the Board of Education hereby resolves to provide legal counsel,

                        defense and indemnification, in accordance with board policy, Education

                        Law and/or under Public Officers Law Article 18, to former Board Member

                        Joan G. Calkins, M.D., in the NYS Division of Human Rights Complaint filed

                        by a teacher and amended on October 22, 2013 and received by the District

                        on October 23, 2013.  
 

             G.16    RESOLUTION TO INDEMNIFY & PROVIDE LEGAL COUNSEL

                         RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that it be resolved as follows: 

                        That the Board of Education hereby resolves to provide legal counsel,

                        defense and indemnification, in accordance with board policy, Education

                        Law and/or under Public Officers Law Article 18, to former Superintendent

                        of Schools Steven A. Achramovitch, in the NYS Division of Human Rights

                        Complaint filed by a teacher and amended on October 22, 2013 and

                        received by the District on October 23, 2013.

          
 
H.        PUBLIC EXPRESSION AND INFORMATION
 
            PERSONS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD         
            Some topics are not permitted to be discussed in the public forum; for example, any
            topic related to an employee or that can be implied to be related to an employee; special
            education placements, individual student situations, etc. If the topic is inappropriate for the
            public forum, the Board president will instruct you not to speak, but rather, present your
            concerns in writing for the Board’s discussion in Executive Session. 

            The chair will recognize the individual or group. Individuals must identify themselves with
            name and address. The board will allocate a maximum of thirty (30) minutes for this agenda
            item. Speakers shall have a maximum of five (5) minutes each. In the event more than six (6)
            persons wish to address the board, they will each receive a proportionate share of the time.
