                             Teamsters Local #264 and Hamburg Registered Professional School Nurses’, and to

discuss and review the District’s contract with legal counsel.

       PERSONS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD
       Some topics are not permitted to be discussed in the public forum; for example, any
       topic related to an employee or that can be implied to be related to an employee; special
       education placements, individual student situations, etc. If the topic is inappropriate for the
       public forum, the Board president will instruct you not to speak, but rather, present your
       concerns in writing for the Board’s discussion in Executive Session.

       The chair will recognize the individual or group. Individuals must identify themselves with
       name and address. The board will allocate a maximum of thirty (30) minutes for this agenda
       item. Speakers shall have a maximum of five (5) minutes each. In the event more than six (6)
       persons wish to address the board, they will each receive a proportionate share of the time.

       H.1   CONTRACT WITH SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU), 
                LOCAL 200 United – HAMBURG CSD FOOD SERVICE

                RECOMMENDED MOTION: “upon the recommendation of the Interim 
                Superintendent, the Board of Education of the Hamburg Central School District 
                hereby approves of the collective bargaining agreement between the Hamburg Central 
                School District Food Service and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), 
                Local 200 United, and hereby approves of the funding of the Agreement.”

                      (This contract is for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016)

 

      H.2    CREATION OF POSITION IN TENURE AREA

                RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that the Board of Education gives approval to

                establish a .2 FTE Music Teacher position (UPES).” 
 

      H.3    CONTRACT FOR SPECIAL SERVICES - APPROVAL

      H.5    HTA GRIEVANCE

                RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that the board of education hereby

                determines that the grievance regarding Article XVI (Section III), filed with

                the HTA is (founded/denied).

 

      H.6    CONTRACT REVISION FOR SCHOOL ATTORNEY

                RECOMMENDED MOTION: “that the Board of Education hereby approves

                of the revised contract between the district and legal counsel effective October

                9, 2013 through June 30, 2014.” 


      H.7    CREATION OF POSITIONS IN PERMANENT CIVIL SERVICE

                POSITIONS

                RECOMMENDED MOTION:  “that approval be given that:

                Be it resolved upon recommendation of the Acting/Interim Superintendent of Schools 
                that the following civil service positions are created effective August 27, 2013:      

                      Web Page Managers – 6 positions (Part-time advisor)

 

      H.8    REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES

                RECOMMENDED MOTION: “Resolved that the Board of Education of the

                Hamburg Central School District reimburse a sum not to exceed $4,665.00

                for medical expenses related to injuries sustained during school activities on

                May 6, 2008."

 

      H.9    REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES

                RECOMMENDED MOTION: “Resolved that the Board of Education of the

                Hamburg Central School District reimburse a sum not to exceed $184.46 for

                medical expenses related to injuries sustained during school activities in

                June 2013."

 

      H.10   REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES

                 RECOMMENDED MOTION: “Resolved that the Board of Education of the

                 Hamburg Central School District reimburse a sum not to exceed $347.91 for

                 medical expenses related to injuries sustained during school activities on

                 April 8, 2013."
